Follow our man in a boat

John Bellinger, licensee of the Bell Inn, Adderbury is undertaking a new challenge - punting down the Thames. His epic adventure will take him 80 long miles down the Thames and on the way he is raising money for the Helen House Hospice. John's not afraid of a challenge.

He once abseiled down the side of the John Radcliffe Hospital women's centre. And in 2007 he cycled round every one of Hook Norton brewery's Oxfordshire pubs, raising £4,500 for Katharine House Hospice in Adderbury.

Pub customers have paid money to be chauffeured down the Thames (and there's still a spare space in the punt for day one for anyone willing to donate towards the hospice).

His adventure on begins on 22 June from St John’s Lock and it can be followed by going to John’s blog on HERE
