Fish and bitter in award wining pub
Fancy some fish with your Hooky Bitter? If the answer is yes then visit the award winning Navy Oak Restaurant & Bar, Leafield, West Oxfordshire, for it is running a fish and seafood week from 12-16 September.
Owned and run by Chef and Patron Alastair and Sarah Ward the restaurant opened to the public in May 2004 and has since then gone on to win numerous accolades that include not only AA rosette's but also a Michelin Bib Gourmand award and a subsequent place in the Michelin Red Guide. Nestled between the popular towns of Woodstock, Burford and Witney the restaurant continues to retain these accolades and in 2006 was awarded silver star in the 2006 Egon Ronay guide to restaurants and gastro pubs.
The restaurant continues to provide good quality food, wine and Hook Norton beers. The full menu can be found on www.thenavyoak.co.uk but highlights include Sashimi of Tuna, Brixham Crab and Whole Roast Lobster. “We have chosen to do another Fish and Seafood Week due to the huge popularity of our first one in May. I have chosen fish that will be at will be at their best at that time of year,” said Alastair Ward.
