Star shines in Sulgrave

The Star Inn, located in the idyllic village of Sulgrave, Oxfordshire has for more than 300 years been offering a warm welcome. And the pub’s new tenants, Barry and Gillie Andrews say the Star is a pretty pub in a pretty village, offering good Hook Norton beer, fine wine and proper pub food. “We are a village pub, serving good home-cooked food,” said Barry.

Nearby is Sulgrave Manor, the ancestral home of the first president of the United States, George Washington. It is also the only English pub known to have been used by the legendary actor John Wayne. With four well appointed letting rooms, Barry and Gillie say the pub will be popular with business travellers and visitors to the area – especially motor racing fans.”

“We are ideally placed for anyone competing or spectating at Silverstone race track,” said Barry
