It is with great sadness that Hook Norton Brewery announces the death of its Chairman, Richard Gilchrist.

The Memorial Service for Richard Gilchrist will be held on Friday 6th March at 12 Noon at St Oswald’s Church, Malpas, Cheshire.

Donations in Richard’s memory, if desired, may be made to:

Richard, 57, died in a riding accident while riding with the Cheshire Hunt on Saturday 24 January. Richard had been a director of Hook Norton since 1977and was appointed Chairman in 2005.

James Clarke, Managing Director of Hook Norton said: “We are all devastated by the loss of Richard, who was committed to the survival of Hook Norton as an independent family brewer.

His legacy is the strength the company now has and we are determined to build on his work to ensure our long term success.” The company extends its deepest sympathy to his wife Catherine, two daughters and all the family.
